Statement:
I like to drive and take pictures.
With an iPhone attached to the passenger side window, and using a selfie stick as a remote shutter, I have logged hundreds of miles, documenting the passing, storefronts, churches, intersections, people and everyday life of Los Angeles. These images are what we don’t see when we drive (safely), but exist in our passing peripheral vision. These photographs merge, in camera, the multiple perspectives of the passing topography into a single composite photograph. The phone in its fickleness decides what is recorded, sometimes it’s in feet, sometimes its in blocks.
